团名取自“五度相生”，寓意和谐之音，且生生不息。五重奏包括新加坡华乐团青年女演奏家马欢（扬琴）、张银（琵琶）、韩颖（中阮）、秦子婧（胡琴）和徐雪娜（大提琴）。
